How do I paint a leather bag, jacket, or boots?Updated 5 hours ago
Same as leather shoes: deglaze until the shine is gone, brush on thin coats of Angelus Leather Paint, and seal with 4-Coat. Keep the coats thin where the leather bends, like straps, elbows, and boot creases.
- Clean the leather with Easy Cleaner and let it dry.
- Wipe it with Leather Preparer & Deglazer, 3 to 5 passes, until it looks dull.
- Paint thin coats and let each one dry before the next.
- Let it dry at least 24 hours, then seal with 4-Coat.
A 1 oz. bottle covers a small to medium handbag. For a large bag, purse, or jacket, a 4 oz. bottle is the safer pick.
