How do I paint a leather couch, chair, or car seats?Updated 5 hours ago
Clean it, deglaze it, and build the color in thin coats with a brush, sponge pad, or airbrush, then seal with 4-Coat. Plan on a pint to a quart of paint for a leather chair and a quart or two for a full couch.
- Clean the leather with Easy Cleaner and let it dry.
- Wipe it with Leather Preparer & Deglazer until the shine is gone.
- Apply thin, even coats with a brush, applicator pad, or airbrush, letting each one dry.
- Let it dry at least 24 hours.
- Seal with 4-Coat to protect against everyday wear.
Bigger jobs:
- A quart covers about a medium 3-seat couch or a full car interior of 4 to 5 seats.
- Fill cracks and holes first with Paintable Repair Filler, then paint over it.
