Best Angelus Products for Prepping Vinyl
Product | Why it's Essential |
High-Grit Sandpaper (800-1500 grit) | Scuffs vinyl to allow paint adhesion |
Angelus Leather Preparer & Deglazer | Cleans and removes surface oils or coating |
Adhesion Promoter | Helps paint bond to smooth, non-porous vinyl |
Applicator Pads | Easy, mess-free product application |
Step 1: Lightly Sand the Vinyl
Use high-grit sandpaper (800–1500 grit) to gently scuff the vinyl surface. This removes the slick top layer and adds texture so the paint can adhere.
Step 2: Clean with Preparer & Deglazer
After sanding, wipe the vinyl down with Angelus Leather Preparer & Deglazer using a microfiber towel or applicator pad to remove oils and residue.
Step 3: Apply Adhesion Promoter
Once dry, apply adhesion promoter for hard surfaces. Let each coat dry fully before moving to the next step in your project.
