Angelus Products that pair best with Paintable Repair Filler
Product | Why it's Essential |
Paintable Repair Filler | Fills cuts, cracks, & holes; creating a flexible paint-ready base |
Leather Preparer & Deglazer | Cleans & removes finish, making the paint & filler stick better |
Angelus Leather Paint | Paint for leather, vinyl, rubber, etc. Finishing the job with durable color |
Step 1: Prep the Surface
Use Angelus Leather Preparer & Deglazer or acetone to clean the area. This removes any dirt, oil, or finish so the filler can bond properly.
Step 2: Sand the Area
Lightly sand the damaged spot using fine-grit sandpaper. This helps the filler stick and keeps the repair smooth.
Step 3: Apply the Filler
Use a tool or spatula to apply a thin layer of Angelus Paintable Repair Filler into the crack or hole. Press it in well and smooth it out.
Step 4: Let It Dry
Allow each layer to dry for at least one hour. If the damage is deep, apply multiple thin layers, letting each one dry before adding the next.
Step 5: Sand the Filler Smooth
Once the final layer is dry, sand it with progressively finer grit until the surface is even and flat.
Step 6: Paint the Area
Finish by applying Angelus Leather Paint over the repair for a clean, flexible, and seamless result.
